Thank you for your interest in Columbia Business School.
- First-year EMBA students are divided into clusters, made up of 30 to 70 students who take every core course together. Clusters are further broken into learning teams of five or six students with diverse professional backgrounds. From the start, this structure fosters an environment of cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Second year, students will have the opportunity to select electives from the largest selection of electives among business schools anywhere, may choose to participate in global electives, and will immerse themselves in the weeklong international seminar.
At the beginning of the Core term, you and your fellow EMBA-NY students will study together for three to five days, depending on your course schedule. The in-residence session takes place off campus at an all-inclusive conference facility in the New York City area.
Away from the distractions of work and home, you will work intensely with your learning team and cluster to cover approximately a quarter of the term’s coursework over the course of a few days.
